One year anniversary!

I'm happy to say that Matt and I celebrated our one year anniversary this past weekend. The celebrating of our anniversary started with my sweet parents taking us out to dinner on Thursday to one our favorite restaurants, the Blue Iguana. Then on Friday we went to my company's Christmas party at the Grand America Hotel.

On Saturday we went to the Salt Lake temple, it was a great experience to be back in the place where we got married. After we went to The Roof restaurant, the view from our table was awesome.

Sunday we went over to my parents house to have Sunday dinner. My mom has been keeping the top of our year old wedding cake. Matt was a little skeptical about eating the cake. You can tell by his face that the idea of eating the cake was not going to happen. (Matt has a thing with expiration dates.)

The cake tasted fine, you couldn't even tell that it was a year old. Matt finally gave in and took a bite. I was so surprised!

We have been blessed to have found each other. I could not imagine my life without my husband. This past year has been great, I'm excited what the future holds for us. Already we have achieved so much, I know together we can keep on achieving our goals.
Thank you for a great year love!

1st Christmas Tree

Our first Christmas tree! Last year during this time we were getting married and there was way to much going on to get a tree. This year we are more settled down to set the Christmas mood in our apartment.

We had a great time decorating and setting the tree up. I'm happy how our tree turned out. I'm excited for holidays and spending time with family.

I would like to recognize ...

At work we were able to recognize co-workers for going above and beyond. I would like to do the same and recognize the people in my life.

My husband: Every time it snows he cleans off my car before he heads out to work. He is my better half and helps me accomplish my goals. I appreciate all the hard work he does for us.

My sister: She shared her talent of singing this past weekend even though it's not her favorite thing to do. We all love to hear her voice. She is a great example of living life with joy and happiness. Thank you for always sharing your love.

My Mom: She encourages me to do my best and keep on reaching higher. Thank you for the example you give in trusting.

My Dad: He knows how to makes me laugh. I'm grateful to have him as my father.

Happy Anniversary

Yesterday was my grandparent's 52nd anniversary. They are a great example on how you should live your life. I admire them and I'm very grateful to have them as my grandparents.

When I grow up I want to be like my grandparents. I hope some day I can be half the person they are. They are my heroes.

Congratulations Tata & Mama Gloria! We love you!!!

Lava Hot Springs

It has been seven months since Matt and I were married. During this time we have been living in the University of Utah Village. We have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by wonderful people and such a great ward. This past weekend we took a mini vacation to Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. It only took 2 1/2 hours to reach our destination. The first night we went to the hot springs that were so relaxing. I had no idea that the hot springs would be so beautiful especially during the night. Since it is located far from any city the night sky was filled with stars. The next day we went tubing down the river which was one of the highlights of trip. It was quite the adventure. No pictures taken going down the river due to the fact we were in the water the majority of the time. You will just have take my word that it was blast.

Also my favorite part of the trip was sitting around the fire and telling stories. The trip was filled with constant laughs. It was an enjoyable time!
I would like to thank the Bells, the Lacys, the Terrys, and the Siggards for making the trip such a great time!

Commencement 2010

I am officially done with my undergraduate schooling. I could not have done it with out the help of my husband. I would also like to thank my mom and dad for all the support and help they have given me and continue to do so. I was happy to share college graduation with my family members. I feel that my accomplishment could not have been achieved without my family's help. I am extremely grateful to be blessed with great a husband, parents, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. I love each one of them!

Almost Done

Today I presented my Senior Thesis and project.I'm happy to say everything went well. This semester I have been so busy with assignments which has caused me to focus on school more. I have a week and a half until I am officially with my undergraduate schooling. It has been a hard road but I finally see the light and the end of the tunnel.
Needless to say this next week is probably the hardest yet.
But I am grateful for the support my husband and family gives me.

Here is my bear hug to you for the support you give me....

THANK YOU!

Cancun (part 2)

I know it has been awhile since we have returned from our honeymoon BUT the last two days were one of the best.

DAY 4

We did a tour that took us to various places. The first stop was a huge cave, they told us that the Mayan's believed the water was the fountain of life.

After much driving we finally arrived to Chichen Itza. One of the most interesting places I have visited. The pictures don't do it justice but it works.

Matt was so excited to visit these ruins.

I love traveling and learning about different cultures. The ruins reminded alot of Machu Picchu, Peru.

Day 5
our last day

We honestly did no want to leave this paradise. It was the one of the best trips I have been on.

We plan on going back someday :), I love traveling with Matt. I am extremely grateful that we get be together forever. I could not imagine it any other way.
i love you Matt!

PARADISE (part 1)

It took awhile to arrive to our destination but the wait was definitely worth it. After a 3 hour layover delay we made it to our hotel at night but made it just in time for our first Mexican meal accompanied with Manzana Lift. For those of you who don't know, this drink is one our favorites!

Day 1

Day 2
We decided to venture around the Hotel Zone. We discovered we could walk along the coast. The water was warm. I have never seen such clear water.

This a restaurant we found on the beach.

Day 3
We did a tour that took you over to the other island called "Isla Mujeres", the ferry that took us over. We were dropped off on a resort that had hammocks, a huge side and we also were able to take a bike ride around the island. Such much fun and relaxing.

Then the ferry took us to the north part of the island and we found the most beautiful beach ever! On this beach you could walk 300 ft into the ocean and the water doesn't go above your waist.

I can honestly say that Cancun, Mexico is like paradise.
